You are one of the leading publishers in helping authors, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders turn their expertise into bestselling books. When did your passion for publishing begin?
My passion for publishing began when I was a little girl growing up in Kansas City. I’ve always loved stories—reading them, telling them, and imagining new ones. I was that kid playing school in the summer, pretending to teach and write books. Fast forward to 2010, when I co-founded Purpose Publishing, I knew I had found my life’s work.
But here’s the thing—my love for publishing isn’t just about books. It’s about people. It’s about taking someone’s life experiences, hard-earned expertise, or wildest dream and helping them share it with the world. Every book we publish represents a person’s unique story, their legacy, and their voice, and I consider it an honor to be part of that process.

You have guided over 300 authors in achieving milestones. Tell us about the success in 2024.
Oh, 2024 has been an incredible year for us! From launching debut authors to helping seasoned writers hit Amazon Bestseller lists, it’s been a whirlwind of success. This year, several of our clients achieved national recognition, and one of our authors even had their book adapted into a documentary!
We’ve worked across genres—business, personal development, fiction, memoirs, and even children’s books. One highlight was collaborating with an entrepreneur who turned their business playbook into a top-selling guide that’s now transforming their industry.
We also had four of our authors win literary awards, which was such a proud moment for our team. To top it off, I was invited to the Sharjah Book Fair as a presenter, which was just surreal. I’ll say this—2024 has been a year of transformation, not just for our authors but for me too.

What have you enjoyed the most during your journey working with authors?

Tell us about your podcast, Expertise Unleashed.
Oh, Expertise Unleashed is my baby! My husband Brian and I co-host the podcast, and it’s all about showing people how to turn their know-how into show-how. We dive deep into the strategies, mindset, and behind-the-scenes tips for leveraging your expertise to build a thriving business, legacy, or platform.
The energy of the podcast is a mix of fun, real talk, and actionable advice. It’s a lot of Brian and I now, but there will be some amazing guests—entrepreneurs, professionals, and thought leaders—who share their journeys of success, failure, and everything in between.

Each of my books came from a different season in my life—moments of faith, moments of challenge, and moments of growth. But here’s the truth: I write not because I have all the answers, but because I know the power of sharing your voice.
As for what’s next? Oh, buckle up because there’s so much on the horizon! I’m currently working on a new book that dives into the transformational power of choice. I’ve always believed that change is only a choice, and this book will unpack how the decisions we make—big or small—have the power to redefine our lives.
Our new website is launching 1/1/25, so check it out – we’re excited about that. We have new authors launching every week of the year in 2025 and we can’t wait for that – it’s super exciting!
On top of that, we’re expanding Purpose Publishing to include even more tools for our authors, like advanced media strategies, workshops, and partnerships. And of course, Brian and I are growing our podcast, Expertise Unleashed, to reach even more listeners.
