BETH, Embracing Brokenness, Transforming Lives

Can you share some insights about your childhood and how your early experiences shaped the person you are today?

I grew up in a middle-class Jewish family in New Jersey in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, in a home filled with love, expectations, and unspoken rules about what success and security looked like. My mother had one sister, and my aunt and her husband, Uncle Art, were like second parents to me. Uncle Art was a successful businessman at IBM, and his steady presence in my life gave me a glimpse into resilience, discipline, and what it meant to navigate the world with confidence.

But like all families, mine wasn’t perfect. I was diagnosed with dyslexia in elementary school, at a time when learning differences weren’t well understood. My mother advocated for me, pushing for the help I needed, while my father resisted labels, believing that I could power through. That tension—the space between feeling supported and feeling misunderstood—was one of the first cracks in my foundation. It shaped how I saw myself, how I worked through adversity, and how I learned to find my own voice.

I know now that my parents were doing the best they could with what they had. They were broken in their own ways, shaped by their own stories, just like we all are. That’s a big part of the Whole Being Broken journey—recognizing that brokenness isn’t the end of the story; it’s part of it. It’s the starting point for healing, for rewriting the narratives that hold us back, and for learning how to walk forward, even when the sidewalk has cracks.

Those early experiences gave me a deep appreciation for resilience, gratitude, and perspective. They taught me that the stories we tell ourselves about our struggles matter just as much as the struggles themselves. And they set me on a path to helping others navigate their own brokenness—not by erasing it, but by embracing it as part of their journey toward wholeness.

Was there a defining moment in your life that led you to become a life coach and create the Whole Being Broken brand?

Absolutely. Whole Being Broken wasn’t just an idea—it was born from lived experience, from my own journey of falling, breaking, and finding my way to wholeness.

One defining moment came in the midst of deep personal adversity. I had spent so much of my life trying to hold things together, to meet expectations, to push through the hard things without fully acknowledging my own brokenness. But life has a way of bringing us to our knees. There was a moment—one of those gut-wrenching, heart-breaking moments—where I realized that I couldn’t keep holding everything together with sheer willpower. I had to face my own fractures, my own wounds, and instead of trying to hide them, I had to lean into them.

That’s when the shift happened. I started to see brokenness not as something to be ashamed of, but as a natural part of being human. I realized that healing wasn’t about going back to who I was before the pain—it was about becoming something new, something whole within the brokenness. That perspective changed everything.

As I navigated my own journey, I began to see the same patterns in others—women feeling stuck, carrying the weight of their past, believing they had to be perfect to be worthy. I knew I had to do something. I wanted to create a space where women could step into their own healing, embrace their story, and rewrite the narratives that were keeping them small.

That’s how Whole Being Broken was born. It’s not just a coaching program—it’s a movement. A way of living that says, “You don’t have to wait until you feel ‘fixed’ to live a full life. You are worthy, right here, in the middle of the mess.”

I became a life coach because I know what it feels like to be in the thick of it. And I also know the power of transformation. Now, I get to help other women move from fractured to fabulous, from falling to rising. And that? That is the most fulfilling work I could ever do.

Your work focuses on helping women embrace their brokenness as a step toward healing. What is the core mission behind Whole Being Broken?

The core mission of Whole Being Broken is to help women recognize that brokenness is not the end of their story—it’s part of their becoming. Too often, we believe we have to be “fixed” before we can feel whole, but true healing comes from embracing every part of ourselves, even the fractured places.

At its heart, Whole Being Broken is about transformation. It’s about shifting the narrative from “I am broken” to “I am whole, even in my brokenness.” It’s about giving women the tools to navigate life’s hardest moments—not by erasing their past or pretending the pain doesn’t exist, but by using it as fuel for growth, strength, and self-compassion.

Through coaching, workshops, speaking engagements, and courses like From Broken to Bright, I help women move from feeling stuck and fractured to stepping fully into their power. The work is grounded in real-life experience, research-backed strategies, and a deep belief that healing is possible when we stop fighting our brokenness and start embracing it as part of who we are.

The mission is simple but powerful: to help women reclaim their worth, rewrite their stories, and rise—not in spite of their brokenness, but because of it.

How do you envision your brand evolving in the next five to ten years?

Over the next five to ten years, I envision Whole Being Broken evolving into a globally recognized movement that empowers women to embrace their brokenness as a pathway to wholeness. Right now, the brand is deeply rooted in coaching, speaking engagements, and online courses like From Broken to Bright. But this is just the beginning.

I see it growing:

  • A Best-Selling Book Series – Whole Being Broken will expand into multiple books, including a best-selling book on the hardest challenges of each parenting stage and the CLOSER Bonds Method book for mothers and children. These books will be deeply personal, research-backed, and infused with faith, reflection, and real-life stories.
  • A Signature Program for Mothers and Teens – I am developing a workshop and online course to help moms and teens build open communication, set boundaries, and strengthen their relationship. This will include interactive exercises, faith-based affirmations, and practical tools that create lasting change.
  • Expansion of Speaking Engagements – I plan to increase paid speaking engagements to reach more women in person, whether at conferences, corporate events, churches, or retreats. My goal is to inspire women to break free from limiting beliefs, embrace healing, and step into their power.
  • A Stronger Online Community & Coaching Network – Whole Being Broken will offer more group coaching programs, masterclasses, and a thriving online community where women can connect, share their journeys, and support one another. This will also include a membership-based coaching group.
  • A Retreat Experience – I envision hosting transformational retreats where women can disconnect from daily life, do the deep work of healing, and walk away feeling empowered and renewed. These retreats will be centered around self-discovery, faith, resilience, and connection. Once they experience it then they can become facilitators.
  • A Larger Media Presence – Whether through podcasts, social media, or video content, I want to continue sharing this message with a larger audience. The Whole Being Broken podcast will grow into a go-to resource for women seeking healing and transformation.

Ultimately, the goal is to create a movement—one where women no longer see brokenness as something to hide, but as a stepping stone to their greatest strength. In the next decade, Whole Being Broken will be a household name, changing the way women see themselves, their stories, and their worth.

What is your biggest dream—both personally and professionally—that you hope to achieve through your work?

My Biggest Dream: Personally & Professionally

My dream is to create a global movement where women embrace their brokenness as a path to healing, resilience, and wholeness—while also strengthening the bonds between mothers and their children and giving back through philanthropy.

Professionally, I aspire to:

  • Write best-selling books, including Whole Being Broken and The CLOSER Bonds Method, to inspire transformation.
  • Expand coaching programs and courses to help women and families heal and grow.
  • Lead retreats and workshops for deep healing, connection, and personal growth.
  • Grow the CLOSER Bonds Method, providing tools for mothers and children to build stronger, more open relationships.
  • Speak on global stages, sharing hope, healing, and empowerment.
  • Establish a philanthropic initiative that provides coaching, resources, and support to women and families in need, ensuring that healing and transformation are accessible to all.

Personally, I want to:

  • Live with purpose and faith, embodying the transformation I teach.
  • Create a lasting impact in my family, modeling healing and resilience.
  • Build a community where women and families feel truly seen, supported, and whole.
  • Give back through charitable efforts, supporting organizations that uplift women, children, and families facing adversity.

If my work helps even one woman reclaim her worth, strengthen her relationship with her child, and create a ripple effect of healing in her community, every challenge I’ve faced will have been worth it. That is my dream.

You have worked extensively with military families, impacting over 25,000 people. How did that experience influence your approach to life coaching?

Working with military families and impacting over 25,000 people deeply shaped my approach to life coaching. Their resilience, adaptability, and unwavering support for one another reinforced key principles that guide my work today.

I learned that resilience is built, not born, and that thriving through change requires embracing uncertainty, fostering strong support systems, and reclaiming self-identity beyond roles as partners or caregivers. Military families also showed me the power of service and giving back, which is why philanthropy is now a core part of Whole Being Broken.

Ultimately, my work with these families reinforced my belief that brokenness is not a weakness but a starting point for transformation—a principle I now help women apply to their own lives.

You’ve written books, hosted a podcast, and developed an online course. What has been the most rewarding part of your professional journey so far?

The most rewarding part of my professional journey has been witnessing true transformation—seeing women move from feeling stuck and uncertain to embracing their worth, healing their relationships, and stepping into their power.

Whether through my books, podcast, coaching, or the From Broken to Bright course, the most fulfilling moments come when a woman tells me, “This changed my life.” When she realizes she doesn’t have to be “fixed” to be whole, that she can rewrite her story, and that healing is possible—even in the midst of brokenness.

It’s also incredibly rewarding to see the impact of the CLOSER Bonds Method—helping mothers and children build stronger, healthier relationships that break generational cycles. Knowing that my work is not just changing individual lives but creating a ripple effect for families and future generations makes everything worth it.

As a speaker, you engage with women from diverse backgrounds. What topics resonate the most with your audience, and why?

Women from all walks of life—different cultures, experiences, and struggles—come together in search of healing, connection, and a sense of wholeness. No matter their background, they share a deep desire to feel seen, valued, and empowered.

The topics that resonate most with them are:

  • Embracing Their Story – Letting go of shame and finding strength in their journey.
  • Forgiveness and Letting Go – Healing from past hurts, whether from family, relationships, or themselves.
  • The CLOSER Bonds Method – Building deeper, more meaningful relationships with all relationships.
  • Healing Within Relationships – Navigating growth while honoring commitments.
  • Moving Forward with Confidence – Overcoming fear and stepping into what’s next.

Every woman carries her own story—some filled with heartbreak, others with quiet struggles no one sees. What unites them is the courage to heal and move forward. My goal is to create a space where they feel understood, supported, and reminded that they are never alone on their journey to wholeness.

Balancing writing, coaching, speaking, and personal life can be challenging. How do you maintain a sense of balance and self-care?

Balancing writing, coaching, speaking, and personal life is a constant dance, not a perfect formula. I’ve learned that true balance isn’t about doing everything equally—it’s about being present for what matters most in the

  • Prioritizing What’s Most Important – I focus on what truly moves the needle each day instead of trying to do it all. Some days, that’s writing; other days, it’s being fully present with my family.
  • Setting Boundaries – I protect my time by saying no to what drains me and yes to what fuels me. That means creating space for rest, faith, and relationships.
  • Practicing Self-Care Without Guilt – Whether it’s quiet time in prayer, journaling, or a walk outside, I remind myself that rest isn’t a luxury—it’s necessary for me to pour into others.
  • Embracing Imperfection – Some seasons are busier than others, and that’s okay. I’ve learned to give myself grace instead of chasing unrealistic expectations.

Ultimately, I stay balanced by staying aligned—with my faith, my purpose, and the people who matter most. When I do that, everything else falls into place.

How do you personally apply the lessons of healing and self-discovery in your own life?

I live the lessons of Whole Being Broken every day. Healing and self-discovery aren’t destinations—they’re ongoing journeys.

How I Apply Them:

  • Owning My Story – I embrace my past as part of my growth.
  • Self-Compassion – I allow myself grace on hard days.
  • Forgiveness – I release resentment for my own peace.
  • Boundaries – I prioritize what aligns with my well-being.
  • Faith – I lean on God for strength and guidance.
  • Gratitude – I look for blessings, even in struggles.

These practices keep me grounded, growing, and moving forward—just like the women I coach.

Your Closer Bonds method focuses on strengthening relationships between mothers and their children. What inspired you to create this program, and how has it been received so far?

The CLOSER Bonds Method was inspired by my own journey as a mother and my work with women who longed for deeper, more connected relationships with their children. I saw so many moms struggling to communicate, set healthy boundaries, and build trust—especially as their kids grew older. I wanted to create a framework that would help them navigate these challenges with intention, faith, and love.

This method is about more than just parenting—it’s about building lasting, meaningful connections that foster respect, understanding, and open communication. It’s been incredibly well-received because it gives mothers practical tools to break generational cycles, strengthen emotional bonds, and create relationships where their children feel truly seen and heard.

Hearing stories from moms who have transformed their relationships—who now feel closer, more confident, and less alone in the journey of motherhood—has been the most rewarding part. It reinforces why this work matters: every stronger mother-child bond creates a ripple effect that lasts for generations.

If there’s one message you hope people take away from your work, what would it be?

I hope people take away from my work, it’s this: Wholeness is a mindset, not a destination.

You don’t have to wait for everything to be perfect to embrace your worth. Your past, struggles, and pain don’t define you—how you choose to grow from them does.

Whether it’s healing from hurt, strengthening relationships, or reclaiming your sense of self, you have the power to rewrite your story. You are worthy of love, connection, and a life of purpose—right now, exactly as you are.
